Survivor: Edgewood

I am surviving the assault , I am a little amemic but alive. I was going to decorate my blog, with pictures of the numerous and sundry wounds that I have endured-- but felt that was too graphic.

I was unable to communicate with anyone yesterday, but feel somewhat better today and am hopeful because I have an appointment with *Butch*to start up my swamp cooler tomorrow morning. And even better... an appointment on Friday morning for a pedicure. That will make me feel much happier and lighter.
Hot weather and creepy insects, does not a happy queen make. It is interesting to me (since I have had more than enough time to think about it) that high desert weather is an interesting phenomenon.

Because of low humidity, the changes are more noticeable-I think. It becomes quite cool at night, almost as soon as the sun goes down, to the point that I need a blanket. Of course, I open all the windows and turn on exhaust fans, to remove the warm air. I can leave them open for a couple of hours in the morning, because it is still quite cool. But when the temperature goes over 85 or there is no breeze, it's time to close up the windows.

The house will actually stay comfortable for hours. Today there is a nice breeze, 85 outdoors and 78 indoors. I'm okay with that but it's only 4 p.m. by six or seven will get warm. Well, isn't that fascinating.

I have spent my indoor time online reading blogs or working on blogs. I have volunteered to help a couple of people arrange their web space. I, of course, have no training in this-but that has never stopped me before.

I have found a wonderful web site for artists to buy and sell their work (check out: http://etsy.com ). I think I may try to upload some of the pictures of my stuff and see if I can sell some of my wares, including the jewelry and photography.
I will let you know, when that becomes available. Today I uploaded some photographs to Walgreens and ordered some large prints and note cards, in order to see what the photos would look like. I'm hoping that the high resolution digital will come through in a large-format if not, it's back to the drawing board. Or back to my novel, which truly deserves my attention.

Or vacuuming...shudder,I feel compelled to do that q 4hr--just to keep the creepy-crawlies at bay. The dogs are, of course, not in the least troubled by all laundry and cleaning, harrrumph.

Ah! Life and weather. Weather and life. One affects the other - maybe that's why my brain is fried!
