The school is named after the city of Trier, Germany, and New Trier's logo depicts the Porta Nigra, symbol of that city. The Porta Nigra was built between 180-200 AD and is the largest Roman city gate north of the Alps. (pour MOI)
The Reunion was held at a local hotel as it was 5years ago. The chief difference was attendance-the 40th had over 300 attendees and this time ...54. The evening was lively and entertaining and allowed for more conversation instead of just schmoozing.
In addition to a DJ providing old standards from the 60's, our resident Broadway persona Sheila Rae provided a great song which she wrote about our class-very fun.
On Sunday morning a brunch was provided and allowed Sheila and Rick (my buddy) to share some "theater talk".
On Friday, Many folks gathered at Elder Lane beach (some great parties) to have a pre-party-picnic. I did not attend but heard that it was well attended. The view is north to Tower Road beach...aahhhh.
I had a good time and was glad that I had attended and reconnected. On Sunday morning I headed back to Wisconsin on Sunday morning to renew my scheduled "personal reunions".
